Cabinet Refinishing FAQs

How durable is painted cabinetry?

Very durable if done right. We use industrial urethane enamels that cure to a hard, chip-resistant finish similar to factory cabinets.

Can you hide the wood grain?

Yes. Oak cabinets have deep grain. We can perform an extra "grain filling" step to smooth it out for a modern, flat look (additional cost applies).

Do you paint the inside of the cabinets?

Typically, no. We paint the doors (both sides) and the face frames. The interiors are usually laminate and left as-is, but we can paint them if requested.

Do I need to empty my cabinets?

You only need to empty the drawers and the items on the countertops. You can usually leave heavy dishes inside the cupboards as we tape off the openings.
